In this weeks SEO in 10, I wanted to cover a question I get asked a lot from our and that is how to write blog posts that work for SEO but don’t sound robotic for your potential clients when they read them.
Over the years I have realised this is something business owners struggle with. Their blog post is either good for their potential customer, but terrible for SEO so unlikely to rank.
Or it hits every ranking algorithm factor they know of but reads terribly for the end user so is unlikely to convert.
Or the worst ones – where the blog posts are terrible for both SEO and the potential client.
Is Blogging Dead?
The short answer to this question is no it’s not dead, having a blog on your website is still one of the best ways to drive traffic to your website and make sure your potential new customers can find you and there are actually lots of ways you can make money from your blog!
You can use SEO tools like Google Search Console to see what keywords your site is already ranking for and that people are clicking through to read and create more content based on those topics. Creating content clusters can be a game changer for your business and Google search console can help you identify the best clusters to create for your business.
You can use mixed media on your blog posts, add videos, audio, podcasts, infographics etc to mix up the type of content to cater to everyone’s references.
So no blogging isn’t dead, just like most things in business it evolves and changes so the key is to stay relevant and up to date because then you can create a blog that people will LOVE to visit.
So with all that being said this week SEO in Under 10 is all about how to write blog posts for both SEO and your clients, ensuring that your posts rank and then convert once people make their way to your site from the SERPS
