Understanding HTTPS, SEO and Google can seem tricky or overwhelming. Especially if you aren’t sure of SEO as it is. However, it doesn’t have to be that complicated.
What you do need to know is that come October Google will be giving ranking preference to websites that use the safer HTTPS over the HTTP.
In other words, HTTPS is now a ranking factor in the same way mobile optimisation etc.
If your website is currently using the HTTP version then don’t worry you can still make the switch to HTTPS and the great news is, it’s not as complicated as you may think it is.
However, if you choose not to make the switch to HTTPS then you will see a negative effect on your website.
