How To get More Page Views
If you use a website to promote your business in any way then getting page views will be a vital part of your website success. If no one comes to your website then there is no one to buy from you. However saying you need page views is the easy part, the hard part is knowing how to get more page views.

Increase Your Website Page Views

You know that if you drive more traffic to your website’s main pages then you can grow your business, but you don’t really know where to start.

In this post, we will take a deep dive into what you can do to ensure that your page views increase each month.

We will look at the strategies you need to know in order to make the search engines work for you, and hopefully, by the end of the post, you will have a better idea of how to ensure your website is benefiting from higher page views.

The most important thing to remember when it comes to your increasing page views on your website is to remember that the quality of your website will always be the most important thing because you want to give your potential new clients the best user experience you can.

5 Easy Steps To More Website Visitors

1. Create long-form Evergreen content

One of the biggest ways to drive traffic to your website is to get it ranking on Google for as many different search terms as possible. One of the best ways to do this is through writing great blog posts for your website by way of creating long-form content.

Long-form content is a great way of really being of service to the person visiting your website. It tends to be copy that is over 1500 words long and can be in the form of mixed media (blog and video/podcast etc)

The better your long-form copy is the more people are likely to keep clicking through to your other blog posts. It’s easier to keep people on your site and consuming lots of your content if they are impressed by the first piece of content they read on your website.

Remember to include relevant internal links in your copy to make it easier for people to travel through your site and consume multiple pieces of copy.

Another important thing to keep in mind is to ensure that some of your long-form blog posts are evergreen content, that they won’t age out and will continue to be relevant for your ideal clients months and even years down the line.

Evergreen content will attract a lot of links and will be around a long time to continue to pick up visitors and page views for months and years to come.

2. Optimise Your Content

Once you have written your content, it’s time to make sure that it’s ready for the search engines.

Use small paragraphs that are easy to read, including internal and external links in the copy.

Make sure they link to relevant pages in your site for internal links and authority relevant sites for any external links that you add.

Make sure your images are properly optimised and load quickly and of course are relevant to what you are talking about.

Don’t forget to include a call to action! Make it easy for them to stay on your site and continue down their customer journey.

Make sure you write a relevant meta description for your post and keywords.

3. Include a Click To Tweet and Pin This Post

While all posts should have social sharing options, you can also use “click to tweet”. This is one of the best ways to get more shares and therefore more page views of your content.

Choose a great quote from your article that is “tweetable”, this can be a tip or a quote or a favourite strategy.

This makes it really easy for people to then click and add it to their Twitter feed which can result in more page views for your post!

As well as “click-to-tweet” you can also add a pin graphic for Pinterest. You will see at the bottom of this post I have a “Love this post? Pin it to Pinterest” graphic.

Giving people another really easy way to share my content which in turn drives traffic that increases my page views.

4. Repurpose Your Content

Worried you don’t have the time to create a lot of blog content? Do you have youtube videos that you have created? Or podcast episodes, case studies or tutorials?

Why not transcribe them and turn them into blog posts? In the case of your videos or podcast episodes, you can even include the original format and make them mixed-media content.

This is one of the easiest ways to flesh out the content on your website when you don’t have a lot of free time for content creation.

5. Republish Old Articles On Linkedin

As we chatted about earlier in the post, repurposing content is a great way to take content in different formats and turn them into blogs.

This strategy reverse engineers that a little, with this we are taking old blog posts and turning them into LinkedIn articles.

LinkedIn is a great resource for businesses and by sharing older blog posts there as articles you can drive more traffic to your web pages from a valuable source without having to create any new content, you are simply using content you already have and are just making it work for you in a slightly different way.

These are some of my top tips when it comes to how to get more page views for your website.

They can easily become part of your ongoing marketing strategy for your business and when you start to use these tactics you will see your page views start to increase month on month.

Do you already use any of these tips in your own SEO strategy? Which ones have worked best for you? Or if you haven’t used any yet, which one will you try first?

Let me know in the comments below and as always if you liked this post don’t forget to help me get more page views of my own by giving it a little share (bonus tip, ask people to share your content I’ve found most people are more than happy to hit that share button as long as you have provided valuable content!)
